Being a creative arts therapist is meaningful work. It can also be demanding, tender, hilarious, isolating, emotionally loud, and difficult to leave at the office—even after the session is technically over.

We make art for clients. We make art for treatment goals, groups, programs, documentation, assessments, supervision, and all the work that happens around the work. But when was the last time you made art simply because you wanted to?

after the sessions is a small virtual peer-supervision and peer-support cohort for creative arts therapists.

It is a place to make art for yourself, decompress, vent responsibly, bring forward professional questions, reflect on best practices, and be with peers who understand the work from the inside.

Together, we may explore the realities that often follow us after work: professional identity, creative blocks, secondary stress, burnout, difficult sessions, grief, ethical questions, workplace challenges, private-practice growing pains, boundaries, and the joy of returning to our own creative process.

A brief confidential group form is required at checkout. This form collects the basic information needed to create your participant profile and add you to the secure portal. Lastly, the $500 investment covers the complete five-session group experience.

when we meet

Live online via a secure telehealth platform
Limited to 8 participants

Telehealth access details and materials will be sent after final enrollment is confirmed.

what happens during 
"after the sessions"

We will meet live on a secure telehealth platform for five 60-minute sessions beginning in January 2027. The group will be limited to 8 participants so there is enough room for both personal reflection and community connection.

Before our first gathering, each of you will receive a curated tactile art materials package by mail. It is a small way of beginning together—creating a shared creative starting point across distance.

The $500 investment covers the complete five-session group experience and the tactile art reset kit. After the Sessions is a closed cohort, meaning the same small group meets together throughout the series to allow familiarity, trust, and connection to grow over time. You may pay in full at registration or choose the payment plan: $150 today to reserve your place, followed by $350 automatically charged on December 18, 2026.

After registration, you will receive additional intake documents through the portal within 2–3 business days. Your place is confirmed once the required documents are completed and reviewed. This process helps make sure that the peer-supervision and peer-support group is an appropriate fit and helps us prepare the cohort with care.

Because supplies are purchased and prepared in advance, the initial $150 payment is nonrefundable. However, if After the Sessions does not reach the minimum enrollment needed to run, you will receive a full refund or may transfer your payment to a future group.
