Creative Care Circle meets every Monday, starting July 6, from 6 PM to 7:15 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Being a creative art therapist is both fulfilling and demanding. You make art for clients, for sessions, for programs, for supervision β but when was the last time you made art for yourself?
This trauma-informed therapeutic group is specifically designed for creative art therapists who have forgotten to create for themselves due to busy schedules, life expectations, and the constant demand to hold space for others.
This group is for when you're burnt out and just need a space to be.
This group provides emotionally focused work using various modalities and mediums (paint, collage, clay, drawing, mixed media, movement, writing) to help you express what's hard to put into words β secondary trauma, burnout, the tension between caring for others and caring for yourself, and the joy of creating again. We'll explore themes such as loss, stressors, long hours, and the unique pressure of being the one who facilitates healing for others.
After all, we need a space for ourselves too.
Guided by a licensed art therapist, Rana Abdallah, this group combines creative expression with open dialogue, helping you explore and release stress in a nurturing environment. Whether you need to vent, reflect, create, or simply take a break, this group honours your journey and provides tools to build resilience.
Here's what you can expect:
A compassionate community of creativeart therapist peers who understand the unique challenges you face
Time to make art for yourself using various modalities and mediums (no pressure, no judgment)
A confidential, non-judgmental space to share, support, and empower one another
Practical strategies and encouragement to nurture your well-being and sustain your passion for this work
Join us from anywhere in NY and take this time to care for yourself as much as you care for others.
